Ninety years ago in Worcester, MA settlers laid a corner stone for our church on Hawley Street. Neighborhood conditions forced our families to relocate to our Shrewsbury, MA location – a warehouse converted into a prayer house for the parish. While we are humble in our needs, the swelling increase of our parishioners has made a remodel in our facilities an absolute necessity.

We were in the planning and approval process to build a new church in our current location for a few years, and we have finally begun the project with our faith in God, the help of parishioners, and the generosity of church friends. We broke ground on May 19, 2013, the foundation is in, and construction is ongoing. Our hope is to be ready for occupancy Easter Sunday, 2014.

Despite our limited resources we went ahead with the construction of our new church knowing that in these times of hardship, our people need a spiritual and social center to come together and nurture our Syriac Christian faith and culture.
